שבת שלום

Shabbat Shalom. Have an amazing weekend everyone!

Never Forget, Never Forgive and Never Again

This demontration always gives me chills and tears...........so impressive
You probably know about the striking way Israelis mark Holocaust Remembrance Day and Memorial Day: The country comes to a standstill while air-raid sirens blare overhead.

The village of Bal Harbour consists of ½ square mile, almost half of which is water. Located on north Miami Beach, between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Bal Harbour is one of the area’s more affluent neighborhoods.

And one of the most valuable properties in the world.....Bal Harbour Shops

A few moons ago I went to one of my favorite stores on Via Montenapoleone and the staff was wearing things that are being sold on the racks, and I thought you shouldn’t buy those things unless you want to look like staff. I’m only saying this because I bought something at this particular store and when I went back again to browse for new things, lo and behold one of the guys who works there wore the same jacket as me. I’m so glad I was the only living entity in that part of the store… can you imagine the face, my face, if another customer came up and asked for my help?but really I would sell out the store if I was a sales person(smiles).....really

And I love this hotel in Milano on Via Gesu.....it is accross the street from the Brioni store....it is better than.........those in the know will figure out the name of the hotel.....it is home away for home for the Goldsteins..........

no plastic....I detest plastic

here he is making fun of global warming kooks......

Republican winner Donald Trump on Thursday complained about the environmental regulations against hairspray, comparing it to the types of regulations miners face.
During a rally in West Virginia, Trump was presented with a hard hat from a miners union that endorsed him, which he donned onstage, then tried to fix his hair.

i don’t get people who don’t like reading
i mean there are people who are so proud to say that they haven’t read a book since high school like am i supposed to be impressed by that

I think love is a feeling. It’s that feeling you get when you know you are going to see that person. You’re always counting down the minutes, the hours, the days or even months until you will see them again because you love that feeling you have when you’re with them.

BLESSED TRANSFORMATION

Never again will our very existence be in the hands of others.

I spent a lot of time this week discussing the relative deadness of hedge funds. Things are so bad in the asset management world that the choices ran from dying to about to die to already dead.
This is why I am sticking to ipo's

Scent is the Strongest Tie to Memory

But cool is also definitely NOT like fashion. Cool is more about what the norm is NOT. Cool is elusive, indefinable, covetable. It is original, desirable, and not accessible to everybody. If everyone has it, if the brand becomes saturated, it stops being cool.

Been there done that...

a little take on Japan-日本,

Three concepts that are at the core of what it is to be Japanese: 責任 sekinin, which means to take responsibility for something; 勤勉 kinben, which means to have an industrious and hard-working spirit; and 謙虚 kenkyo, or humility,

In Japanese, otaku, which is a polite word for "you" or "your family," now refers to a social class of obsessive, self-absorbed youths and would-be youths who fixate on pop culture icons and live for whatever rush they  get from that fixation. Idols, animation, comics (*manga*), adult video actresses: there is no limit to what can be otakified.!!!

BEAUTY

A facelift, technically known as a rhytidectomy (literally, surgical removal of wrinkles), is a type of cosmetic surgery procedure used to give a more youthful appearance. It usually involves the removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues, and the redraping of the skin on the patient's face and neck.

One common sign of aging is as plain as the nose on your face. Actually, it is the nose on your face. "The nose flattens and widens as we age."One of the quickest and easiest ways to look younger is to reshape it with a filler." A hyaluronic acid filler (Perlane, Juvéderm, Restylane) injected right into the dorsum (the bony line straight down the center) slims the nose and even corrects bumps and imperfections. Doctors can also add a tiny dose of Botox under the tip for a more youthful profile. "Your nose becomes more hooked as you age, which drags down the entire face,"  "Botox lifts it up and takes off years in about ten minutes."

HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned

One and only Sheikha Mozah looks stunning in pink Chanel Couture dress.

Who Wore It Better? Sheikha Mozah and Princess of Jordan (wife of Dubai’s Emir)
both wore Valentino couture skirt-suit from Spring 2008 Haute Couture collection
aka Mr. Valentino’s last collection. Princess Haya kept the same runway sample s
tyle and color, while Sheikha Mozah had it in light green and with longer skirt
(FYI Sheikha doesn’t wear yellow, never). Both of them look great,
but I will give this one to Sheikha for having it customized.

MY PARTING SHOTS

Ingrid Bergman.... She always dressed so beautifully!

They used to be known as the Beauty and the Beast....Paulina Porizcova and Ric Ocasek is one of my all time favorite singers!!!!And it is nice to know and announce that:

Paulina Porizkova and Ric Ocasek seem to be doing okay. Haven't they been together for 20 years or something? She seems to not take herself so seriously. She was on a show the other night and still looked pretty...in the this times, that is nice that some couples still stay together

A cruise on the Seine, kissing on the Eiffel Tower, a show at the Moulin Rouge, dinner at the Tour d’Argent...,staying at the Four Seasons-George V......despite the tired clichés, Paris still has all the right ingredients for an unforgettable rendez-vous that fits any couple’s definition of romance.

LOOK: LENÇO NO PESCOÇO

kibitzer \KIB-it-ser\, noun:
1. A giver of uninvited or unwanted advice.
2. A spectator at a card game who looks at the players’ cards over their shoulders, especially one who gives unsolicited advice.
3. A person who jokes, chitchats, or makes wisecracks, especially while others are trying to work or to discuss something seriously.

Kibitzer entered English first in America in the 1920s. It comes from the Yiddish wordkibetsn (equivalent to German kiebitzen) meaning “to look on at cards.”

Israelis stand in silence as the siren sounds for Yom Hashoah.
Millions of Israelis paused for two minutes Thursday in solemn silence as air raid sirens wailed across the country to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The annual commemoration for the 6 million Jews killed in Europe during the Holocaust brought the country to a standstill at 10 a.m., with drivers standing alongside their cars on highways and normally bustling city centers freezing for the funereal event.
