As I watched all 92 world contestants at the Miss Universe Pageant yesterday, I admired their looks, their physical presence and their regal demeanor.....but I also tried to look close and see how many had been enhanced or retouched and I must say that most of them have been under the scalpel....breast implants were the most obvious............






And while on the subject of plastic surgery....here is a little take on it..........

I'm at a gathering of these guys (and they're overwhelmingly guys), I'm reminded of lines from T.S. Eliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock: "In the room the women come and go/ Talking of Michelangelo." The spouses are, in a sense, married to the Michelangelos—and they are often their husband's works of art. Look at the wife and you see the aesthetic of the husband. I could never say that about any other medical specialty.  And if you were paying attention to the tidbits, or if you know me...JG's Michaelangelo is : Dr Steven M Hoefflin....he is a true artist. 

C’est devenu tellement normal, la chirurgie esthétique aujourd’hui, qu’on se demande vraiment à quel saint se vouer. Il y a encore dix ans de cela, c’était simple. Ça se cachait, et, qu’on soit une célébrité ou une inconnue, tant que l’intervention était assez légère pour juste laisser planer un doute, c’était vite oublié. Tout le monde faisait semblant de ne pas avoir vu, et la morale était sauve.

Ah, la morale.

Plastic surgery has become so normal these days, we’re kind of wondering who to look to anymore. Ten years ago, it was simple. You hid it, and whether you were famous or not, as long as the surgery was subtle enough for people to wonder if you’d done it or not, they forgot about it. We all pretended we didn’t notice anything, and your reputation was safe and sound.

Ah, morality.

I totally subscribe to the Fit or Fat routine....just walking , it tones all your body and gives you a slim model like body....slim, not male exaggerated pectorals like CR7 and others.......however Tracy Anderson does wonders so hers is another method to arrive at the body you like....she is a trainer to the stars.....

What is her method? Mainly it consists of two parts: through dance cardio and muscle work of legs, arms and abdominals. Most clients who have talked about it on the Internet in the same match: her technique is not too hard, and they have gotten rid of cellulite, and fat in the back.

 Ladies this bottle perfectly flushes make-up and should be in a cosmetic bag of everyone, 

I overheard this the other day:

who are architects, whereas people in LA are beautiful and can tell you the best type of

plastic surgery and what green powder to take for no reason"

Couples go from talking to 2 am, to 2 hours a day, to 2 minutes a day, to 2 days ago, to never.

Elvis and Ann Margaret clearly had chemistry on and off screen. However , it would not have been a match made in heaven. Two very strong personalities which would clash in the long run. Ann wouldn't have taken a back seat to anyone- not even E.

a little take on Japan-日本,

I've written before about how effectively studying a language requires certain things. A real desire to learn is important, as is being inventive enough to figure out how your own brain learns best, since every brain is different. It's also useful to have what the Japanese called kan (pronounced "kahn," like this), a word which means perception or intuition and the ability to figure out meaning in abstract situations. If you're kan ga ii then you're good at making sense of something from very little information, but someone who is kan ga warui is terrible at picking up meaning from a few threads.
