One thing everyone knows about the Japanese people is that they use chopsticks to eat with. It's true: except for certain Western foods like spaghetti or curry rice, the Japanese eat most every meal with chopsticks, and they're so ubiquitous here no one gives them a second thought. Children learn to use chopsticks around the age of three, often using training chopsticks to get started, and the first real peer pressure a child will experience is having to eat in front of the other children at preschool, with the fear of embarrassment if they're behind the other kids at chopstick skill.

(My favorite part was the homage to the original Wonder Woman…)Gal (not Wonder Woman) teaches us a crucial lesson, particularly at this point in time when Jew-hate is on the rise - success comes from being unabashedly authentic. Her Israeli accent is obvious, it only makes her more “exotic” and interesting. She speaks of her love for her country naturally, not as an advertisement, it is simply an integral part of her identity. For example, how her daughter reacted to seeing the WW84 trailer Gal didn’t find the need to translate what her daughter calls her to the English “mom”, she simply used the Hebrew “ima” because naturally, that is the word her daughter uses.So what did she say? Raptly watching the trailer she turned to Gal and told her: “Oh my God Ima! You can fly!”
