looks like with makeup on’ and ‘this is what they look like in real life’

a little take on Japan-日本,

Bowing, is a very big deal in Japan something that's done several times a day. There are many kinds of bows, from the casual 15-degree nod you'd make to a coworker or neighbor to the deeper (30-degree) bow of thanks you'd do when accepting your salary envelope from your boss, or the more formal (45-degree) bow made to a customer in a service industry. One bow is chorei (lit. "morning bow"), a brief formal meeting where the employees stand in a circle and basically promises to gambaru, or do their best and work hard, followed by  a deep bow.

Why are we still obsessed with Phoebe Philo’s designs for Céline? In a nutshell, 

Philo created a uniform of quiet clothes for busy women. Women who work, are 

mothers, have lives and don’t have time to “fuss and preen”. The enigmatic Philo 

was the epitome of the busy woman she designed for, which may very well have 

been the key to her success. So, what should we expect from her 

soon-to-be-launched eponymous line? Vogue Scandinavia takes a stab at 

this question and it’s a good read.

I still think about a Fendi FW17 camel coat with red topstitching — as I wrote 

in the post, it was swoon-worthy. 

So, when I spied the Fendi camel sweater and trousers 

above paired with red Manolos in November 

British Vogue, I let out a little sigh. It really is a 

sweet combo.
