Sunday on the flight back i loaded up and  watched for the umpteenth time two of my all time favorite movies....Hollywood, what happened to you??? Your studios used to make soooo many great movies.......

i love this Sunset Boulevard location because it makes eating so peaceful with all the palm trees. "In-N-Out Burger Sign" takes you down to Sunset Boulevard  The intertwined palms trees in the foreground complement the classic In-N-Out Burger sign and the daily life going on all around. It is inviting, fun and nostalgic.

A friend asked me if i miss Miami Beach....my answer is no, we will be back in October when is the best time to be there....if you know...October to February is the best time to be there.....very few hoi polloi..........and i am always raving about Bal Harbour and Surfside........

This little ocean side town north of Miami Beach was until recently the last vestige of "old" Miami Beach. And although Jewish delis, ice cream shops, and art deco structures still line Harding Avenue from 88th to 96th Streets, a wave of new development has made this the coolest new beach in South Florida. A new Four Seasons opened this spring around the historical Surf Club, a Mediterranean-revival villa built in the 1930s by Harvey Firestone. It's now the centerpiece of the new resort, which along with the new FENDI Chateau have brought an upscale vibe to Surfside.

and positive, they've decided to launch personal attacks on the first family....refusing
to put Melania Trump on their cover they rather like sucking up to Michelle Obama and the liberal kooks....your failure as a magazine is well deserved. 

What simple magnificent grace their music was. Now we live in a world where the pants of star performers are falling down. Drug fueled suicides, overdoses and starlets who shake their half-naked bottoms because SPECTACLE has suddenly become more important than substance. This cocktail of obscenity filled lyrics and Gangsta references to guns and sex have most of us reeling with disgust. Not in shock, disgust.

One word  the Japanese use when receiving some kind of compliment is okage-sama de (oh-KAG-geh sah-mah deh), a phrase which literally means "thanks to you," which is a little weird since the person doing the complimenting probably had nothing to do with the acquisition of the skill in question. Often when you say something nice to a Japanese person, they'll turn the kindness back onto you with this phrase.
