I've written before about how effectively studying a language requires certain things. A real desire to learn is important, as is being inventive enough to figure out how your own brain learns best, since every brain is different. It's also useful to have what the Japanese called kan (pronounced "kahn," like this), a word which means perception or intuition and the ability to figure out meaning in abstract situations. If you're kan ga ii then you're good at making sense of something from very little information, but someone who is kan ga warui is terrible at picking up meaning from a few threads.

In my quest to find new beauty products, I decided to try a few by the tress master Oribe. Once a dear friend, the man is known for creating thick, luscious hair. And his products don’t disappoint. I’m using the Gold Lust and cannot believe the immediate improvement. Next up, the volume shampoo. TBC.

Quite possibly the best head of hair I've seen in a long time. No messy topknots here, just long perfect sultry curls. Oh yeah and she also has killer fashion sense and a knack for picking perfect prints.

To Vernis ou not to Vernis ?

C’est assez délicat à manier. Mais dans les collections pre-fall, j’en ai vu quelques variations qui pourraient, je crois, trouver leur place dans une garde-robe. La jupe aspect vernis noir est un classique (et elle existe aussi en ROSE VIF !!) et passe super bien avec un t-shirt. Les vestes rendent bien avec un jean, ou dans le cas de ce manteau en mode color-block sobre, en solo !!
