In remembrance of the late Bijan..........

Bijan on Rodeo is not the same without Bijan.....is like Kingdom Holding without Prince AlWaleed......................

Looking to shop in the most expensive store in the world? Head over to Rodeo Drive, the posh Beverly Hills locality that is home to the House of Bijan. A-list stars love shopping in Rodeo Drive’s expensive stores. Yet, none of them compare to Bijan, the world’s most expensive store. The House of Bijan has been in operation at 420 Rodeo Drive since 1976. But you cannot simply walk in to the premises. To enter expensive store in the world you will need to make an appointment. This is no marketing gimmick to keep the riff-raff out, however. The late designer Bijan Pakzad established this as a “By Appointment Only” store from the time of its opening.

Consider the diamond. On the one hand, it is the sum of all the finest things in life -nature, beauty, purity, and glamour. Per cubic inch, it is the most valuable asset you can hold in your hand, a teeny-tiny crumb of wealth. It is the noble face of money,
A diamond is the most portable asset there is. You can hide a 10-carat diamond that's worth over a million dollars in the palm of your hand.

When I see a pic like this one the perfectionist in me thinks:
Gigi wore her hair in a high bun....so in order to pull it off your face
has to have symmetry and your ears perfectly pinned back...

so my trained eye and trained symmetry tells me she should have both of
her ears pinned back by plastic surgery, specially the right one.

Perfect skirt or dress must cover the knees. Coco Chanel believed that women’s knees are extremely ugly, and the best thing to do is to hide them under the skirt or dress. To say the truth, she is absolutely right, because such classical length fits the majority of women.

do you ever read a book and it just changes your life? a book you didnt really think too much about when you picked it up - when you opened it and considered the averageness of its first few pages? but when you’re done, your heart hurts and your head is spinning and you question the authenticity of your own life, and you vow to be better and do better, to love deeper and laugh harder. i know that something such as a collection of meager pages doesn't mean much to some people, but i literally could not think of a world without books (non-fiction for that matter). i feel so blessed that i get to experience other peoples thoughts and imaginations through a book.

Plastic Surgeons

I'm at a gathering of these guys (and they're overwhelmingly guys), I'm reminded of lines from T.S. Eliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock: "In the room the women come and go/ Talking of Michelangelo." The spouses are, in a sense, married to the Michelangelos—and they are often their husband's works of art. Look at the wife and you see the aesthetic of the husband. I could never say that about any other medical specialty.  And if you were paying attention to the tidbits, or if you know me...JG's Michaelangelo is : Dr Steven M Hoefflin....he is a true artist.

For the headquarters of one of the biggest banks in the world(Goldman Sachs), the outside of 200 West Street is deliberately anonymous. Outside, guards patrol in the freezing air and the pavement bollards, masquerading as decorative street furniture, are the type of urban landscaping designed to prevent a terrorist attack.

Herve Leger Mania

You have probably noticed Hollywood's endless obsession with bandage dresses.

The most famous fashion brand for these body-flattering items is doubtlessly a French fashion house Herve Leger. Herve Leger was a huge fashion hit in '80s because it
created body-con dresses. Their breathtaking designs are so addictive that you'll never choose another brand once you wear a fabulous Leger dress. If you don't believe us,
ask Kim Kardashian or Jennifer Love Hewitt, they have plenty of HL in their closets.

One of the hottest women in the world, Jennifer Lopez, looks stunning in every single
Herve Leger dress she owns. As you can see below, a Herve Leger dress can be
matched with pumps and lots of glamorous accessories, but you can also wear it
with knee boots. There are no fashion rules for what you should and shouldn't wear it
with: Herve Leger dresses are elegant and feminine, so you should find some
sexy heels and matching accessories.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is probably the biggest fan of Herve Leger. She has taken it to the extreme
with her love of the bandage dresses. Jennifer has Leger dresses in almost every color and
design and they look perfect on her.

Diva Beyonce looks very sexy in Herve dresses. She is brave enough to choose the
shortest ones and in her case shorter is better if you have legs like these.

Herve Leger dresses are absolutely adored among fashion circles. Women like to wear them as they amazingly accentuate the figure, men like to watch their ladies
in Leger. For a dress like one of these, we need not only a good body shape, but also self-confidence and a lady attitude. Herve Leger dress on a female body represents
a reflection of power, luxury and self-esteem.

Remember that you don't need 90-60-90 dimensions to wear bandage dresses,
what you need is courage, a touch of suntan and satisfaction when you look in the mirror. That's something money can't buy: with self-assurance you can pull off every bold design and look like a million dollar girl.

Is that a bit extra?

a little take on Japan-日本,

Whenever you study Japan's society you inevitably encounter concepts of uchi (in-group) and soto (out-group). Groups are very important in Japan, and care is taken to avoid making any member feel that he's not a full-fledged member, be it a class in high school or a group of friends at Tokyo Disneyland.
I've learned a lot about Japan's group psychology by watching them doing a very common thing: taking photographs. When a group of Japanese takes a photo together, you can often observe one person in the group taking a picture of everyone else,  after which another member will take the camera from him and take another picture, with the first person included this time. The idea is that if it's a group photo, everyone needs to be included.

Aqueduct Beach one of my favorite beaches in Israel

tour guides use words like “breathtaking” and “unimaginable” to describe this unique beach located north of the old city of Caesarea. Clear water and clean sands might make this beach on its own, but the really fascinating aspect of this beach is the ancient Roman Aqueduct ruins (originally built two thousand years ago under the reign of King Herod) that mark its inland edge. At once imposing and inspiring for its reminder of the power of human ingenuity, the ruins make the trip to this beach worth it, even if limited lifeguard hours mean bathing isn’t always allowed.

Picasso's The Weeping Woman decidedly metzuvrakh
In Hebrew someone who is moody is said to be metzuvrakh ormetzuvrakhat in the feminine. Etymologically this is an interesting word.
In Hebrew, as with other Semitic languages, the word for spirit and wind is one in the same: ruakh (ru-AKH). The word is cognate with the Aramaicrukha (ru-KHA) and the Arabic rukh.

What is really means....is one of my rules....I give no drama and want no
drama.....moody, no, not for me....not nice....not kosher
