I am so grateful that so many around the world find the tidbits to their enchanment and liking.....and by the way, if you look at the revolving map - Europe is not visible as so many
black dots have covered it up....so many Europeans subscribing here..........

There is a new crop of models and it’s high time for some fresh faces. Rising stars nabbed many of the fall campaigns.

Valentino, too, employed newer models for the fall campaign—I’m a fan.

American Apparel’s latest ad does what the controversial retailer does best: objectifying semi-naked women for the sake of pushing merchandise. Never mind that its “made in the U.S.A.,” fair-wage ethos is a noble one—any form of higher purpose is quickly subsumed by the company’s ’60s soft-porn schtick, particularly with its latest campaign, which features a topless Bangladeshi woman with the words “made in Bangladesh” branded across her chest. The model, a merchandiser named Maks who has been with American Apparel since 2010, touts a high-waist jean made by “23 skilled American workers in downtown Los Angeles, all of whom are paid a fair wage and have access to basic benefits such as healthcare.” The implicit message is that the 3.6 million workers who make up Bangladesh’s garment workforce, many of them young women like Maks, do not share that same luxury.

At its peak audience has gathered four million average viewers and it has become a multimillion-dollar family business.

One kanji that crops up a lot in Japanese daily life is 洋 yoh, which means "the West" and is usually present opposite 和 wa, which is the kanji for Japan. If you're currently wearing normal clothes like a shirt, jeans or a suit, you're wearing 洋服 yoh-fuku, which is what modern Western clothes are called in Japanese. The opposite term, 和服 wafuku, would describe various types of traditional Japanese clothing, from kimono to yukata and jinbei summer kimonos (which make great pajamas). This "Western" label shows up in other places, too, including 洋間 yoh-ma, a "Western room" with sofa and chairs (i.e. any room that isn't a tatami room)

The denim love affair continues.

I have long been an admirer of Emmanuelle Alt and her simple fashion style.
She manages to look the part of a fashionista without ever looking overly dressed or too much on trend.

Emmanuelle Alt wears denim well and as denim, worn separately or together, is making the rounds big time I thought she was the person to draw inspiration from.

Vintage style floral dresses have always resonated with me.

M. Givenchy must have felt the same when he dressed Audrey Hepburn in the 1957 film, Funny Face.
